Playable Races
Six races are available at character creation, each with distinct appearance options and natural traits.
✠Human
Adaptable and widespread, humans are the most common race in the world. They carry no particular gifts or curses — only ambition. Their faces range broadly in shape and tone, their builds from slight to powerful. More than any other race, humans define civilization by sheer persistence.
Traits: Balanced across all stats
⚒Neanderthal
Broad-browed and powerfully built, Neanderthals are survivors of a harder age. Their heavy frames and stone-carved features speak to generations of endurance in unforgiving terrain. Slow to trust outsiders but steadfast to those they call kin, they make formidable warriors and capable hunters.
Traits: High strength and stamina
᛫Wood Elf
Slender and sharp-featured, Wood Elves move through the forest with a quiet certainty that borders on unnerving. Their angular faces, keen eyes, and refined builds are shaped by centuries of living among the trees. Patient observers and natural hunters, they have little tolerance for the noise of city life.
Traits: High agility and reflex
ΨLizardfolk
Cold-blooded and pragmatic, Lizardfolk see the world in terms of survival and utility. Scaled, heavy-jawed, and possessed of a tail they use as a counterbalance in combat, they are neither cruel nor kind by nature — simply efficient. They make their home wherever food is plentiful and threats are manageable.
Traits: High strength and stamina, tail body part
ᚢGrippli
Small, nimble, and wide-eyed, Grippli are tree-frog folk native to swamps and rainforests. Their mottled skin blends with bark and leaf, and they move in near silence when they choose to. Do not mistake their size for fragility — a Grippli cornered is a Grippli dangerous.
Traits: High agility and reflex, small frame
‡Grung
Stocky, bright-skinned frog-folk with wide mouths full of teeth and muscular legs built for leaping. Grung skin color marks social rank within their own culture, though outsiders rarely understand the distinctions. They are aggressive, territorial, and surprisingly organized for a race so often underestimated.
Traits: High strength and stamina, powerful builds
✦Dark Elf
Ancient, cold-eyed, and possessed of a patience that outlasts kingdoms, Dark Elves move through the world as though it belongs to them — or will, eventually. Their pale and ashen skin, silver-white hair, and predatory stillness set them apart from their surface kin. Calculating by nature and distrusted by most, they survive where others do not by knowing when to strike and when to wait.
Traits: High agility and reflex, high intelligence, low strength and stamina
☽Goblin
Small, wiry, and perpetually underestimated, Goblins survive on speed and cunning where others rely on force. Their sharp features, beady eyes, and mottled green skin make them easy to overlook — which suits them fine. They are quick to flee, quicker to strike, and surprisingly difficult to kill.
Traits: High agility and reflex, low strength and stamina
⚔Orc
Powerfully built and bred for conflict, Orcs carry a reputation that precedes them into every room they enter. Their grey-green skin, heavy brows, and pronounced tusks mark them instantly. What outsiders call brutality, Orcs call directness — they solve problems with their hands first and their words reluctantly.
Traits: High strength and stamina, low agility and charisma
